"I received one of these brushes as a promo with gouache paints. This brush (filbert #4) worked well with my paints and was incredibly lightweight. I liked using the brush and the paints applied to my paper nicely. I typically use a brush with grips and a little weight so this brush was much lighter than my typical ones. If you are looking for a nice, lightweight brush then these would be perfect!"

"LOVED this brush! It's the perfect size for medium sized washes and works well with both acrylic and gouache. It also cleaned up nicely with water and a bit of brush cleaner. I didn't see a lot of staining of bristles, which is common on light colored bristles. I used daily and had no issues with bristle loss or deformed brushes. I especially liked the extra long handle which allows me more control over my work. Will definitely be buying more of these."

"This is a great paintbrush for painting backgrounds or on large canvases. I would recommend a smaller, more precise brush for small details. The white bristles do stain from acrylic gouache paint, but the stains don't mix in or show on future uses, so they don't bother me. All in all, I would recommend this virus if you're looking to paint with gouache or acrylic and need a bigger brush."

"I'm a fan of this brush (Freestyle Filbert #4). Its length allows me, who happens to have giant hands, to easily control the tip and create the way I want to. I hate stubby brushes for that reason (no control). The bristles kept their shape after several uses and I didn't experience any "hair loss" while painting."

Beautiful brush
"This brush is so nice , it's light weight and feels so comfortable in my hand . It's absolutely perfect I did not have any shedding or pulling of the bristles. It is sturdy and firmly made nothing was loose at all . Bristles all stayed intact and the brush cleaned up nicely. I enjoy the green shade of the brush also . Overall a great product and I'm happy I was able to test it out ."
great brush, LONG handle
"The brush is wonderful -- the strokes are smooth & it cleans easily. The bristles are very high quality! However the handle is SO LONG. I have small hands, so I found it a little hard to maneuver & control. If I could have the same brush tip on a shorter handle that would have worked better for me. I may just have my husband cut the handle shorter for me with his handsaw."
